Dr. Diego Marchese Ragona was born in Licata on November 14,1947. After obtaining his MD degree at the University of Palermo in 1973, he completed his residency training in Vascular Surgery at the University of Palermo and in General Surgery at the University of Catania.
Currently he is responsible for the Surgical Division of the clinic "Casa di Cura Noto-Pasqualino" (ascribed to the Italian National Health Service), including the General Surgery Wards and the Multidisciplinary Laparoscopic Surgery Division of this Institution. 
He is an expert in Laparoscopic Surgery at national level and at "Centro Demetra" he is engaged in laparoscopic surgery techniques of the Medically Assisted Reproduction, when needed (GIFT, ZIFT, TET). He has a particularly large experience in the laparoscopic correction of varicocele.
