Dr. Vincenzo Caravello received his MD degree (cum Laude), and afterwards, he completed a residency program in Gastroenterology. He is author of several scientific papers published in gastroenterology journals and has been invited to give conferences in several Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine meetings. From 1985 to 1988 he joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy of the Clinic "Casa di Cure Casentino" of Palermo (ascribed to the Italian National Health System) where he accumulated a large clinical experience with numerous procedures and clinical activities. In 1986 Dr. Caravello was qualified as Health Professional (based on a public evaluation of professional titles and an examination), at the I.N.P.S. in Rome.
Since 1999 he works as a Specialist at the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit of the "Ospedale Civico" of Palermo, which is a highly specialized hospital of the National Italian Health System, in the field of Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. His areas of expertise include also urogenital and pelvic diseases.
His role at the "Centro Demetra" is particularly focalized on the care of patients with Infertility associated to Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease, and on the prevention and therapy of Iatrogenic Ovaric Hyperstimulation due to gonadotropin treatment.
